9 | SUBJECT: Homeless Update
RECOMMENDATION FOR ACTION: Staff recommends that the City Council: 1) Receive a status report on Relocation of the Homeless Shelter and operation of the Extended Shelter (Old County Jail); 2) Adopt Resolution No. _____, approving the following appropriations and amending the FY2020 budget as necessary: $50,000 in Housing Assistance (Fund 326) for pre-development costs to relocate the Fourth and Hope emergency homeless shelter; and an additional $35,000 in General Fund (Fund 101) with the costs shared equally between the City and Yolo County for the operation of the Extended Shelter, a total appropriation of $369,045 for Homeless Activities; and 3) Authorize the City Manager to execute an extension of the MOU with Yolo County and Fourth and Hope for operation of the Extended Shelter through March 31, 2019.
